Appointments 

We know you have many choices when choosing a Chiropractic physician in Southern Pines, NC, so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site. 

Follow-up Appointments 

Any follow-up appointments, whether in-office or by phone, are scheduled based on the complexity of your health concerns.  These appointments are billed in 20 minute increments.  If your scheduled appointment exceeds the allotted time, Dr. McKay will usually round the time down rather than up if at all possible.  Please let our office staff know if you need to have your appointment adhere strictly to the allotted time (I.e. 20 minutes, 40 minutes, etc.).  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (910)693-3700.

Phone Appointments 

All phone appointments are treated the same way as an in-office appointment.  Dr. McKay will call you at the number you provide within 10 minutes of your scheduled time.  If for some reason, he is unable to reach you or will be delayed longer than 10 minutes, one of our office staff will contact you to either reschedule or advise you of the updated time of his call.

All phone appointments require payment with a credit card so please be sure to provide our staff with that information at your appointment.

Cancellations 

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please notify us 24 business hours before your appointment so we can offer the appointment to another patient.  Failure to cancel your appointment with 24 hour notice may result in a $25 fee.  If you have any questions, please contact us at 910-693-3700.

 

Payment Policies 

Payment for all chiropractic and nutritional services are due at the time of your appointment. We accept payment with MasterCard, VISA, and Discover as well as cash and personal checks. We also provide financing through Care Credit. When applicable, we may also provide other payment plan options.

 

Insurance and Billing

Lab testing through Labcorp is often covered a majority of the time.  Other labs will file the tests to your insurance company for you as a courtesy.  

Because we do not bill insurance providers, it is up to each individual to determine whether their insurance plan provides coverage for consultations, office visits, x-rays, supplements and lab tests. Per your request, we will provide all of the necessary paperwork for you to file with your insurance provider. Our superbills provide the diagnosis and procedure codes for examinations, office visits and lab tests. Most insurance companies do not reimburse for supplements. Please note that we cannot guarantee reimbursement.

Many of our patients report excellent reimbursement from their insurance providers.

We do accept flex spending plans. We do file medicare, however we do not accept assignment. We do not file any other insurance. Qualifications for insurance coverage may differ due to the uniqueness of each procedure. Please contact us with any questions you may have. 

 

Supplement Reordering 

When working with Dr. McKay, we require that you purchase your supplements directly from our office so we can ensure you are receiving the correct herbal and nutritional products and are taking them at the recommended dosages.  We closely monitor your reorder status to ensure you are taking the right number of supplements in order to obtain an optimal outcome.

 

Shipping 

If you live outside our local area or are unable to come in to pick up your supplements, we will be happy to ship them to you.  Orders will be shipped no later than the following business day, provided the supplements are in stock.  Orders are not shipped on Friday- Sunday, holidays or during office closings.  Shipping fees range from $7-$19, depending on the size of your order.


Supplement returns 

Please refer to the items below for information about product returns.

  • Pre-approval is required for all returns
  • Refrigerated and opened items cannot be returned
  • A 15% restocking fee, less shipping and handling, will be applied to unopened, un-refrigerated returns made after one month of receipt of product
  • No returns after 60 days
  • Special orders cannot be returned
  • All returns will be applied as a credit on your account to be applied to future office visits or supplement purchases.
